This is a Diablo Style action RPG. if youve played torchlight and liked that then you'll like this. pretty much the same interface but the game is alot more free. if you want to be a wizard who uses enchanted swords then you can do that. but ONLY BUY THIS GAME if you are thinking of buying the 1st and 2nd ones, those come in this game. would definitly reccomend this game to all RPG fans and dungeon crawler fans. 10/10 best 5 dollars ive spent in my life.. Been playing for 4.4 Hours at the time of this review and I just have to say that I LOVE this game. It's a lot like Diablo 2 or Dungeon Siege 2 but it's still purely brilliant!Some of the pros (as some already mentioned) :+You can play this game for hours as you can play up to level 2,305 if you wish. There is no limit to how powerfull you can become.+Customize your character from a variety of races, each with it's own buffs+Pet system.+Fishing is amazing in this game + a great way to earn fast gold.+Customize your charcter with TONS of skills, abilities, armor, and magic that suits your playstyle.Some downs :- A bit repetitive for some (not for me though, I love grinding).- You'll have to deciede which weapon and so forth you want early on otherwise you'll end up with a useless character.- Enhancing costs A LOT of gold.Im going to give this game 10/10 cause it have all that I want in an RPG and Hack-n-slach/dungeon crawler title.Just pick this one up and play for hours. The atmospheres, dungeon levels, and randomized drops make it a joy for someone like me to play.. I played the original FATE as a demo on a PC when I was a kid. My sister and I both loved it and managed to convince our mom to buy it since it wasn't that pricey even back then. A few months back I found myself thinking of a few games I loved as a kid and went on a quest to find them on steam. I was surprised to find out that not only did they have FATE, but several sequels to it as well that I did not know existed. FATE: The Traitor Soul has all of the games rolled into one from what I have been able to tell. Its a dungeon crawling game in which you have a pet that tags along. Find loot to improve your equipment (Or find better equipment) and fish to transform your pet into stronger and stronger creatures. Fishing is also a way to find great equipment. You can also learn spells to help you along the way, buy potions, and town portals. Don't forget to pick up a quest or three before diving into the dungeon! Overall, after all these years I am still enjoying this game and am pleased to have bought it again in a form that will hopefully be the last time I have to buy it XD. If you've played Torchlight, you'll see the similarities immediately.Lots of weapons, armour and spells and an acceptable skill tree for the cost of the game.It's a bit of a basic game but is great for satisfying that grinding itch.Probably best for the over 30s as by that age you appreciate the gameplay whereas those younger prefer spanking graphics.. The GUI feels like 800 pixels, and there are NO settings for video, sound or anything........... wtf.The interface looks plain awful, it will hurt your eyes if you care for graphics.And then the game crashes. No thank you.
